Do Erasmus Mundus scholarships cover all expenses?

Students must be able to finance their study and living expenses, owing EU scholarships, non-EU scholarships or other funding sources.

The amount of money awarded to scholarship recipients will be:

  1. For Partner country scholarship-holders:
    Contribution to travel: 2,000€/year scholarship holder resident in a Partner Country whose location is situated at less than 4,000 km from Bordeaux, France OR 3,000€/year scholarship holder resident in a Partner Country whose location is situated at more than 4,000 km from Bordeaux, France AND Contribution to installation: 1,000€/2-years
    Monthly allowance: € 1,000 / month

  2. For Programme country scholarship-holders, with mobility to Laval University:
    Contribution to travel and installation: 1,000€/year scholarship holder resident in a Programme country or see 1st point contribution travel for scholarship holder resident in a Partner country
    Monthly allowance: € 1,000 / month


Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees scholarship-holders do not have to pay the EMJMD participation costs (4,500€ per semester for Partner Country students OR 2,250€ per semester for Programme Country students), which are directly included in the European grant received by the Consortium to cover the tuition fees and insurance coverage.
